AWANA SKYWAY
Since December 2016, the Awana Skyway, also known as the new Awana Skyway (approximately 2016), has connected Awana Transport Hub, Chin Swee Temple, and SkyAvenue in Genting Highlands, Pahang, Malaysia. The rebuilt Awana Bus Terminal, the station structure, and a new 8-story car park make up the Awana Transport Hub terminus, while the other terminus is located at SkyAvenue.
The Awana Skyway is one of two aerial lines that serve Genting Highlands, with the Genting Skyway as a backup. The gondola lift system was introduced in 2016 to replace the previous 2-car aerial tramway system, which operated from 1977 to 2014. With 10 passengers per gondola, the gondola lift system can transport up to 3,600 passengers per hour. The 2.8-kilometer ride up the mountain peak takes roughly 10 minutes at a top speed of 6 metres per second (21.6 km/h), depending on weather conditions.
